In this training session Jeannette Guerrasio, MD will describe a process for identifying the underperforming learner. She will outline a framework for diagnosing the learner’s difficulties and discuss how to employ a methodical approach for remediation based on the identified deficiencies.

Bios:
Jeannette Guerrasio, MD

Jeannette Guerrasio, MD is a practicing primary care internist in practice at Sundial Medical Center. She graduated from Albany Medical College and completed her residency at the University of Connecticut. While practicing at the University of Colorado, she became a Professor of Medicine. Dr. Guerrasio developed a pioneering approach to medical education by creating individualized learning plans for struggling residents and medical students, and served as the Director of Remediation, for the School of Medicine for both Undergraduate and Graduate Medical Education. She went on to author Remediation of the Struggling Medical Learner, editions 1 and 2, and Remediation Case Studies: Helping the struggling learner. Her next book to be released, Embrace Aging: Conquer your fears and enjoy added years!
